SWA studied 190's a few years ago and rejected them, so the thought has occurred to them. Also, in this business ( as in any business), never say never. Besides, even if they did get them, payrates would probably be industry leading like their 737 pay, so no need for panic.

And begin dividing a successful employee group? I doubt it. Look at the divisiveness this business model has created everywhere else.

IF, BIG "IF", SWA was to ever add E-jets or the new C series, you can bet they would be mainline, with SWAPA and Company negotiating a good thing for everyone involved.

Please!

I can't believe you would even consider it! Clearly, you're not concerned with career progression in the industry.....

SWA is too smart to buy that garbage from Embraer. They will only fly the 737 and nothing else.

I would have to dig up the article, but I'm almost positive there is a TA that says all Southwest branded flying will be flown by pilots on the SWA seniority list (the FAs also got the same agreement). I was told if it says Southwest on the plane, it will be SWA pilots.

Good point & great idea on the SWAPA side of the party. Imagine where we'd be in this industry if every Major CBA had that little tidbit thrown in. No more scope garbage to worry about.

This is right out of the CBA. The way I read it, the company could contact out flying, but the aircraft would have to be flown by SWAPA pilots working under the CBA.
