this site's stats appear to be flawed, especially since it says 190 at the top, and 196 midway...Plus the stock increase is way off from the one originally listed by the poster here.

Now, I couldn't find a list of the flights being dropped, therefore could not look at the miles being dropped...
As far as at least a shred of good news, I found this graph which shows, given extrapolation, that profits should remain steady in the industry. Of course, there are other factors, but here's at least something

Never ceases to amaze me how quickly people turn a normal thread into a political thread...if you're that desperate to air your political views, there's about 3000 political forums out there!
Anyways, I'm also not surprised to see how many folks make it habit to bash SWA every chance they get. Tell you what, if I was working for a certain couple of airlines out of Denver, I'd be really worry right about now! I suppose that, coupled with the fact that they are the most successful pax airline in the States inspires a little envy from others.

Anyhow, my point was, are these cuts due to the lower ridership numbers, or were these flights routinely not selling and therefore SWA (a company known for cutting costs in everyway possible) simply made the smart decision to not fly these flights for now as the articles suggest.
I think most would agree that when you see the darling of the airline industry cutting back, you take notice because its either already happened to you or its going to happen 10 fold.
