We all know the economy sucks because of the evil republicans.
Anyhow, my point was, are these cuts due to the lower ridership numbers, or were these flights routinely not selling and therefore SWA (a company known for cutting costs in everyway possible) simply made the smart decision to not fly these flights for now as the articles suggest.
I think most would agree that when you see the darling of the airline industry cutting back, you take notice because its either already happened to you or its going to happen 10 fold.

You didn't, and I never said you did.
I guess nobody can make a joke on here anymore.
Still, does anyone know if these cuts were due to the fall of ridership or was it due to flights that weren't selling anyways and SWA decided to trim the fat?
Thanks.

Sry, the first question was directed to Quimby. I did take it as a joke
I did read on one of the sites that a fall in ridership had occurred...it said something like the # of seats times the amount of miles travelled had gone down by like .2 billion from like 9.1 to 8.9 billion...wish I could find the site though.
But at the same time, it's probably also trimming the fat. I wouldn't expect them to get rid of the flights that are making money. Plus, look what they added...Las Vegas...Baltimore?...All the places where I'm sure people are pouring in and out of...
