So as someone who is looking at the regionals still, is the flow through/flow back with Mesaba and Compass something to be concerned about? Is it likely that when the merger happens there will be people flowing back into the regionals and those two having to furlough to make up for it?

This topic had been discussed many times in Mesaba and in other threads.
The Union rep said the Flowthru for Mesaba will remain after the merger but nothing is certain it actually happens. For Mesaba, only the same number of people who have flowed up can flow down. Right now only 13 flowed up so only 13 NWA pilots, if they are furloughed, can flow down. The 13 Mesaba pilots who have flowed up, their spots were left vacant and no one replaced them at Mesaba, so no one should be displaced. This is how it is supposed to work in theory. No one knows if NWA will furlough pilots or not. For Compass, refer to their threads for detailed info on their flowthru deal. I believe no one from Compass have flowed up yet because no one there has reached 30 months of employment yet.

Not too sure the mesaba/compass flow deal will still remain in place after the NWA/DAL merger. Also, The current Jan. APA and the T. Rainey letter states 'No Furloughs' at NWA, numbers based on the current staffing trends and required levels (NWA short 385 pilots) w/ the new DAL work rules. For what it is worth...

What do you mean? The flow language is in the JPWA that we ratified.
