International Jumpseat HKG-ICN on NW

I know this topic has been discussed before. To jumpseat on NWA mainline, do you need to list yourself as a non-rev, if so what phone number. Then go to the gate, pay dept taxes and get to the gate to see the Capt. Any idea how much dinero the taxes are ?

I'm seeing if HKG-NRT-ICN is possible on NWA 12/NWA07 next week.

Any info is appreciated...thanks. A PM is fine too !

That's a bad way to get to ICN... you might be better off just buying a ticket. HKG/ICN are often both oversold and HKG has a fair share of nonrevs who will all be ahead of you. You will need to pay the departure taxes in NRT for your flight to ICN, however from what I've seen at the xfer desk in NRT, the line is often very long with connecting Asian pax and you might be very tight on time. You can call NWA reservations and they'll give you the load info. Non-NW pilots can't pre-list for a JS.

Just went to ICN on Asiana...$98 standby ticket. Came back on UAL to SFO for about $48. JS is nice...but keep other options open. DAL goes DIR from ATL a few times a week and UAL from SFO. Have fun and enjoy the food.

BTW...Polar is always a great backup!!!!
