Has United started to get rid of these planes? When will all of them be off-line?

Yes. A bud of mine works there. (Poor sucker.) He said all are slated to be gone by the end of 2009.

We all will believe it when Tilton actually pulls the trigger on this shell game.

there is a parking sheet schedule on the wailing wall-- i think they jhave parked about 25ish or so and the schedule is easily attainable to park them all by dec 09. with about another 10 lef tto go this year thatts only about 6 per month for next year-- piece of cake

tilton and gang have committed to this shell game, they won we lost game is over--- they won the lawsuit, they are going to win by sidestepping a new negotiated contract with some merger type incentive- and voila they win again.

united mgmnt absolutely sucks

agreed about their management...

did it really make sense to paint all those 73's in the new colors when they knew they weren't going to remain in the fleet that long?

Dang... you're getting WAY too complicated here! We're talking about United management! They don't look more than a couple of days ahead when they make decisions!

A quick look at AIFDIS shows 40 737s gone, 54 to go. Also 3 747-400s gone, 3 to go. I am on reserve on the 737. I have not broken quarantee since July. Flew less than 10 hours in October. At least I have time to study for my 767 right seat bump. But I am worried that I am studying for nothing as I will probably get bumped to 320FO about the time I am doing my OE on the 767! Gosh I love this business. Maybe I can qualify for my own locker at the training center.
