Well, it sounds like I will get a chance to try out ACY in the beginning whether I want to or not. I'm thinking it may end up being a better option for me than FLL since that would be a two leg commute. No direct flights from CMH where I live. DTW would probably be my first choice is that is only a 3 hour car ride.

From a newhire(5/11class) point of view.... I am approx midpoint seniority from my class of 12, August is my first full month of flying, and I'm holding a line. Even with the slow time of year, I got my second choice for September....
That being said, I have to mention that there are 4-5 FOs senior to me that are out on leaves. Also, one of the guys from my class was able to bid FLL in August.
The commute sucks- I do 2 legs from DFW through ATL on Airtran, but that flight is going away in January. The train from PHL is a last resort- takes about 2 hrs depending on your timing, and after jumpseating 1or 2 legs, it's a real pain....
