Another slap in the face from Tilton

VA was a startup not aimed at the direct exploitation of a pilot union group that is losing hundreds of pilots a month to furlough. God help the US pilots that sign up for this. This goes way beyond VA or Skybus or any other US startup airline, this is SCAB territory.
That is/was GoJets, but the United pilots didn't seem to mind them.
Slice it any way you want to, but United is a shell of a once proud airline and the MEC should be breaking the RLA to finally take a stand. The list of atrocities hoisted on the United pilots since 9/11 speaks volumes. Hopefully this is the straw that breaks the camel's back.
If ever there was a time to spite the RLA, it's now with the current labor-friendly administration.

Hypothetically...what happens if every UAL pilot says "F it" and they stage an unapproved work stoppage? I know it is against the law, and I know that ALPA can have no part of it due to legal ramifications, but what happens "if"? I can't see firing every pilot. What would occur if it were a one day stoppage?

So when it Tilton going to take a paycut?

This is a Majors version of the regionals.
I can't believe it.
I feel like throwing up. What is wrong with this country(RLA)/industry/management/pilots/BARF!
Just doesnt end. No leverage. No way of seeking self-help. Practically slaves. Either accept the sick, sad, twisted reality, and prostitute yourself, or leave all together. Those are the only options.
Truely disgusting. Land of the free, ehh.

Don't want to turn this into a whole "you are the ones that relaxed the scope" thread... that's been hashed to death. I'm not blaming UAL pilots for the increase in regional pilots at our expense, and I'm not blaming regional pilots for showing up and flying the new jets. I'm not blaming PILOTS for anything. This is all a management shell game, and I detest them all with more gusto each day. My point is that we were already an 8 on the ****ed off scale at the increase of regional flying at our expense, going to a 10 with the GoJets issue only looks like we moved 2. If you were a regional pilot and generally happy; expansion, quick upgrades, shiny new jets, more and more large city destinations, then you were starting at a 2 and moving to a 10. GoJets was a taste of what we had already been enduring for years. And now Aer Lingus is just another piece in the sh%^ puzzle that is United Management. Divide and conquer is their only strength. It's like watching a 2 year old play with his Lincoln Logs watching Tilton "lead".

hmmm, the Railway Labor Act permits strikes after negotiations over major disputes prove unfruitful...
The French strike all the time, and remember Lufthansa and Lufthansa City Line last year? Some pilots got one-time payments of nearly $10000 and a significant pay raise, then city line followed.
And in case of the French, they strike out of solidarity too. One company is upset, they all strike.
Everybody complains and nobody does anything.

Agreed. I don't care if the UA pilots aren't on strike!
