Once again, Fireman, you get it and Ryane is clueless. Let me help you out Ryane, Duane IS a pilot. He is making 4 times the salary that his brethren make and for doing what? He has done nothing for the MEC's but take their money. At SWAPA, we pay our union boss 120% of the average line holder. That was the point. I can't in my wildest dream see how you are not able to understand simple concepts but here in the airline industry we understand that 'union boss' is just a term and he is not management. A Union Boss in the airline business is the president of the union and is elected by the workers (Airline pilots ) he there fore works for us and is our employee If you ever make it to this industry it will take a lot more maturity and the ability to understand simple concepts.
I don't know how you can make a leap from my simple comment on an ALPA employee's pay to your statement that Swacapt promotes socialism. We find your musings and diatribes entertaining but stick to telling us what YOU think. Due to your compete cluelessness, you do not have the ability to know what I think. Now, listen very carefully Ryane, this is for you (as everyone else on this forum gets it). I am a capitalist and I don't care what anyone else makes, but if one of my employees helped to cut my wage in half, his would surely follow, Hope this helps you understand. I feel that I'm having a conversation with a 16 year old. Let me know if you need me to spell out anything for you ... perhaps three times. My suggestion to you would be to listen more and type less and perhaps one day you may gather enough intelligence and flight time to become an airline pilot. Perhaps you got lost while attempting to navigate this website but this is the MAJOR AIRLINE forum. Perhaps you may want to attempt to impess someone in the FLIGHT TRAINING forum. Good luck to you.

Default thanks national

It amazes me that two major ALPA carriers file for backruptcy at the same time and there is no in court support or communication to the public from our national union. What has National done for the pilots of Delta or NWA to prevent the company team of sleeze lawyers from convincing the judges that this TA is what is needed at the expense of the union members. Why was national NOT at the table to help the negotiators and Judge understand what the other ALPA carriers forced on the members. We are national union members with only our company union as a support group. Would Jimmy Hoffa have allowed mutilple companies beat up his members as Worthless has allowed. Look at the unionfacts.com website and tell me what all of those communications experts at national doing to help us fight the evil ones of mgt. We as pilots can not stand alone without the support of our national union. I feel that the Worthless crowd of over 450 employees has let the profession down. Our negotiators worked as hard as they could without support, you can't expect a handful of pilots to take on the sharks of management without the lawyers and negotiating expertise our national union should possess.
