Default SWA's Third New City for '09?

Saw on another site today a thread about ATLANTA being the possible third new city to get SWA service this year.

I know the DAL and Air Tran guys will have an opinion about this, but just wondering if anyone has seen/heard anything about this?

Body armor on and taking cover.

CLT. The BoA & former Wachovia execs will have to sell their corporate jets and buy cheap seats on SWA to appease Congress.

I really don't care what city it is actually. If SWA really does announce another city this year, that's a good thing.

Default Any growth = Good

Both CLT & ATL would be great. Also would love to see SLC.
Seems like if anyone can ride out the current storm ,it is SWA. Growth possibilities out there and their ops should allow it.

ATL would be great for SWA. They could easily compete with DAL because most of our domestic operation will be 76 seat FRJs (and I don't mean Fairchild).

SWA has served SLC for a number of years.

They already have a presence in SLC. I see CLT...they have a good track record when attacking Cactus bases. Why haven't they gone into DCA? Is it because they're already big in BWI?

There are no available gates in CLT, that is the real problem. You see the hardstand at night? DL and CAL have been trying to get more space for years.

Well they are having the same issues here in ATL. I am sure that the city would tell AAI and DAL to kiss off and let them use the city gates on D.
