ALPA dues ?
#1
Don't know how this is going to fly in here but here goes anyway.
Do member's of ALPA who are furloughed get any type of payment from said union?
If they do not then maybe they schould beginning from the date that they joined ALPA ,what I am getting at is some kind of payment while being unemployed .
If ALPA is tossed out by a carrier's pilot group do they get the due's that were paid in back?
I know these are loaded question,s but if a union is not doing what it is supposed to do then why schould they be allowed to keep the member's dues for not upholding their part of the bargain?

And your insurance company will be happy to refund all premiums for auto, health, and life.
Don't forget to write the feds and ask for your taxes back also. And the state, property, sales, and FICA taxes.

Because they don't care about you, or me, or anybody, unless they can successfully lobby for them. Line pilots need not apply.

Not only will you not get any money back but they might still try to get money from you while you are unemployed. I have been furloughed for two months and i just got a bill from APLA last week. They are smoking something if they think I am going to pay another dime.

ALPA's only "part of the bargain" is to be the legally recognized bargaining agent for a property. That said, they have no legal obligation other than to assist the pilot group with bargaining. Everything else is extra. Since dues are collected only on wages earned, and that money is gone...
Besides, if they refunded money, how could Prater afford to take his family and a bunch of cronies to the IFALPA conference in New Zealand? Or the fancy cigars and dinners that he an Helling enjoy so much? After all, he's a "big time union boss," right?
