Additionally, there are many highly experienced pilots flying regional aircraft and any pilot who is willing to be suckered into believing that all are inexperienced or less safe simply by the virtue of the fact they fly regional sized aircraft believes too many poorly reasearched and biased newspaper stories.
Of course, many pilots (especially mainline) prefer to believe this because of the degree of emotion that they have allowed to overtake them.

When the company and ALPA meet to negotiate, the company shows up with professional negotiators. ALPA shows up with a "negotiating committee" made up of local members. The professional negotiators are charging a fee for their services, and are being paid out of the company's coffers, to negotiate against the union members who are employees of the same company!
My question is, why does management get to have access to company funds to hire outside agencies to negotiate their position against us, while we have to fund our negotiators whether they be professional or local union members?
We're all employees of the same company! We should have access to the same funds as the company from the same source!

Of course, then that airline (or individual pilots) could legally raise a DFR issue if they are ALPA.

OK, then a ad campaign that airlines outsource flying to other airlines (ie. regionals) to bust pilot unions.

Most of them aren't in unions and exist under the merit system and I think this wouldn't help.

There are no Northwest or Delta codeshares with Midwest. You cannot book a flight on Midwest from Delta or Northwest. I tried several routes I know are to be flown by the E190 and several that are now flown by the E170s.
It's a bad enough situation without adding such inflammatory comments.
