Exactly............it's now every pilot (and pilot group) for themsleves.
ALPA national feels the same way and its principle concern is for ITSELF.
This profession is history my friends, so get as much as you can now, for what ALPA national doesn't keep for itself, it hands over to management so their financial "engine" continues to run.
We are all complete SAPS for falling for this scam. It's right up there with Enron, AIG, the banks and the auto industry.
Fly safe fellow suckers and continue to pay or be fired.

ALPA is not worth the money!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! That's really funny. As the Skyway guys were getting "kicked to the curb" weren't the Midwest guys being faithful little ALPA soldiers and having tea parties with SkabWest to convince them to vote in ALPA? So now you're mad because you backed the wrong horse? C'mon, you didn't see this coming? Midwest MX, MKE Ramp... Skyway Flight Crews and NOW YOU. Shoulda made a stand sometime, hey? So I say to you... Karma's a B----, isn't it?
Sorry sidelinesam, we just didn't see the writing on the wall like you. Sometimes you have to live history to learn from it.
ps. the midwest pilots tried to add all Skyway pilots to our seniority list... TH said NO. The real problem is the scope protection ALPA National wrote into your contract.

Who negotiated that contract? YX pilots or national? Who voted for and ratified it? YX pilots or national? If it was so bad, why did a majority of pilots vote for it? Either you guys were completely hoodwinked, (and don't want to admit it,) or more than 51% just didn't care enough about scope, or cared too much about something else to vote no.

ALPA has a group of pilots that go on these message boards for propaganda purposes, The above poster is one of them.
ALPA national wants the credit for the good times and turn the blame for the bad times to the dues paying pilots at the airline they represent.
The Midwest pilots spent a lot of dues money for the ALPA expertise on scope clause, ALPA national failed miserably and will not support the Midwest pilots because the dues money loss and it does not effect the NWA and DAL pilots, the loss of Midwest helps them. Oh coincidentally, Air Tran benefited from Midwest Airline pilots current predicament, ALPA loss on Midwest Airline Pilots scope clause was quickly rewarded to ALPA, by Air Tran pilots, when they joined recently.
The head of the Airline Pilots Association, Prater, told the Midwest Airline pilots he will change is zip code to MKE untill this scope violation was enforced. He is a liar.
Cliche that is true, history does repeat itself time and time again. Pan Am, TWA, Eastern, Frontier, Braniff, Midwest, Aloha, ...................
The ALPA Pyramid scheme pays more for the last investor, not the first.

By the way, this video will be removed from cyberspace, within days by alpa, they do censor cyberspace.

People seem to think that ALPA is some super organization that just comes in and makes things better or worse for you unilateraly. That is wrong. They are no more stronger or weaker than the level of support given by the pilots at any particular carrier. You say ALPA failed you. I say that the Midwest pilots failed themselves. Don't worry, I see it at my carrier too. Pilots who are too lazy or indifferent to actually pick up a contract when they have a question and instead just want someone to spoonfeed them the answer. Or just vote what the MEC recommends, instead of actually reading the TA and asking questions. Or not even bothering to vote, regardless if it's a yes or no.

Or perhaps some Midwest Pilot are in denial because the contract they approved did not provide the protection needed to fight off TH. While ALPA is supposed to protect our jobs and careers, it's still our responsibility to READ THE ENTIRE TA! Not to just stare at the pay.

It do not have knowledge or either pilot group's contract, but crossing the picket line is NOT a contractual issue. If you cross the picket line, you are scum, period.
I am not sure of the current ALPA pay scales, but when "worthless" was leading the sheeple, he was making over 500k per year.
