How do you figure "VA being owned almost 100% by a foreign entity?..."

It is (I believe) 49% owned and 25% controlled. All within the limits of Federal law.

This whole situation is about VA being owned 100% by a foreign entity. They were owned 49% by a foreign entity. Aren't I correct that the 2 majority owners of VA asked for their investment back? Thus making the foreing ownership close to 100% now.

I really don't want to say VA is in the wrong here, I was just pointing out the comparison between Jetblue and VA doesn't seem to hold much water, since Jetblue has 19% foreign ownership while VA had 49% and now appears to have close to 100% now.

The key word is "owned".

Again, the devil is in the details. There was a change of control protocol or provision in the DOT show cause order (DOT telling the world you qualify for a certificate). You will have to read the docket yourself for the details.

The argument right now is Virgin saying the change of ownership provisions are being adhered to, in response to Alaska, AFA and ALPA protesting the original provisions themselves. The DOT can take any amount of time figuring this out, and can decide to deal with this in private or public. So far there has been no public info from the DOT on their progress.

If the DOT decides to reverse themselves, there is an appeal process, then the court system to rule before any new order can be enforced. This could take a long time, so stock up on beer and popcorn.

What about the rumor of SRB becoming a US citizen? That would please all those who have been running him down, but would be par for the course, looking at his past.

I would believe the one about the tooth fairy being real before I believed SRB getting US citizenship.

The 2 majority owners of VA as still the 2 majority owners of VA. If you think that's not true, then you think that the executives have lied to the DOT and the press. Seems pretty unlikely.

welcome to the bottom va...gambling junkets in tunica it is...or maybe atlantic city. you could always fly "contracts for tony perez" to san juan but it remains seasonal. don't forget con-air from oak city, but before you board ms13 gang members back to honduras...please study critical terrain charts in central and south america. i assume you got route 2 in fmc. good luck.
