JetBlue Pilots Wakeup call?

320 CA is at or above industry average starting 2nd year at $140 topping out at $158 at 12 years, E190CA are 90% of 320CA starting 2nd year at $126 topping out at $143, FO's are anywhere from 50-68% of the captains. Premium pay is gonna trigger at a higher hour, looks like we are gonna get duty rigs, TAFB rigs, minimum average daily credit of 5 hours, and also night rigs, international overrides. Plus some increases in PTO, and some changes in STD & LTD, but it does not look like any changes in 401K contributions. Over all it looks pretty good starting point, all of us 190 guys got a pretty huge raise. It does not look like its set in stone yet but we are all retro to June 1st when it does get all finalized, the biggetst problem is this is exactly what should have been done last year.
Are these pay rates inaccurate ?

FACT: The "Pilot" classes in March and April were 12/12/4/2. So to answer at least one question with a fact. There were several classes and yes they were small. They needed additional aircrew for 2 190's.
RUMOR: 1) Pay raise coming no idea what it will be. 2) Might start hiring in the Fall, thus the job fairs.
Sorry not much info, but that is what I know and what I have heard.

Honest question- CRFguy do you work for Jetblue?
Nobody is being brainwashed at OSC. What are you talking about.
What do you mean by no respect, no power, CAs having no authority, and bottom of our peers? None of this is true. If you are so unhappy, Why don't you work for the top airline of our peer group? Go for it, find happiness don't let the blue juice or the brainwashing stop you. Life is too short to be unhappy.
We are treated with no respect, we have no power, we are simply a means to get a hull from A to B. The CA's have no authority, we are paid near the bottom of our peers, and WILL never get what we deserve without representation. The company will keep throwing us a bone every 5 years just to shut us up.

You only applied to your "number 1 choice" yet you had the experience to go to FDX or SWA.... Whoa.
Honest question- Why is this where you wanted to be?
Do you value your experience and education? Because if you do the regional wages offered on the REGIONAL jet you fly are a slap in the face by the company. This company likes to bill itself as a major but pay like a regional. I'm sure this place seems like heaven if you worked for Mesa, but do your family a favor and pull your head out of the sand. It's a joke that we are even comparing rates with other non-major carriers.
YOU are exactly the type of pilot the company wants, someone they can attract and brainwash during indoc. @ OSC.

It is what it is. "If you don't like it, leave".
Stalin claimed that men would fight long and hard for a small piece of ribbon.
Apparently, some pilots will slave long and hard for the use of a shiny piece of equipment.

I live in SoCal and have couple of properties here and need to live here to mange those properties not to mention that this is where all my family is from. So a base in SoCal is whats important to me cause I do not want to commute for the rest of my life, that meant Jetblue-LGB, Delta-LAX (LAX67 was at least a 7 year wait, so that was out), United-LAX (I seen how bad they were treated and that was out), UPS-ONT (I am very much a people person & I don't want to fly boxes so that was out). Southwest would have been a short commute to LAS or PHX. However there was a CP at mesa that got hired on at Southwest & kept his name off of the list by making a back end deal with a CP at southwest to get his son on at mesa, cause he knew he had burned so many bridges that if his name was on the list he would get black balled. That does not sound like the kind of place I want to make my top choice but I still believe they are a great company to work for. So the only other obvious choice was Alaska, but first year pay kept it off of my top choice & I have a few friends there but now they are on furlough so I am glad I did not chose to go there.
So Jetblue was the most logical first choice for me and I do not regret it one bit they had lower pay than several other airlines but I am sure southwest did also in there first 10 years or more, and I am only 28 and knew I could wait for the pay to come up & it looks like they are doing just that (check your email)!!!!
I know you were concerned about me and my family but trust me we will do just fine, may I recommend you read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" it changed my whole thinking of how to make money.

BuffMike please lay off the Blue Juice a little. I am a second year E190 FO and although the changes are welcome they will add up to maybe 400 per month net with the change to the premium trigger. Plus, we've only seen what the CBC has proposed, I sure as hell haven't signed a new PEA yet, have you?

Good luck.
Give Mike a sob story and minimum wage and he'll suck it up!
Just don't try taking his shiny jet from him!
