Skybus Settlement Checks
#4
The last I heard was that each employees would receive an average of $1,800 per person under a settlement approved by the bankruptcy court in the state of Delaware.
But again the likelihood of this becoming reality is highly HIGHLY controversial. So please don't cont on it bud..

My 121 initial instuctor was a skybus casualty, hope you guys see something, what sucks is JW was allowed to attempt to start Jet America before all the debts on the Skybus end were discharged.

That's because JW is an employee of Sun America, err Jet America or whatever its called. Jet America is Air Azul part deux, owned by the guy that ran Southeast Airlines Vacations (NOT AIRLINE, btw).

John Wiekle is not the reason for the downfall of Skybus. He left that operation before it even started operating because he had the foresight that it was going to be run into the ground by a bunch of inexperienced, money hungry mongrels who couldn't get an RC airplane off the ground. His latest problem is a lack of cooperation with the charter company he was collaborating with and acquiring slots for the routing he was forced to go along with. It was way below his expectations and once again he has decided to pack up and wait for a stronger economy.
