Default What's new at MAXjet

Hi!

I'm new on this board.

If you have any questions, feel free.

Here's what's new: Just took delivery of airplane number 3. Have put bids on number 4 and 5. MAXjet will start a pilot class this Summer.

Number three will serve as a spare and some charter flying. We have signed over 30 very lucrative sales contracts for charter flying. We just flew the British Ministry of Defence last month.

Number four airplane will open Boston. Chicago should be next. Expect an expansion on the US side before Europe.

MAXjet is privately held. Our "poorest" investor has a personal net worth of $500 million. Our biggest investor is Utah-businessman Ken Wooley who was one of the first investors at jetBlue. (He paid cash for airplane number 3).

Loads are up. Investors are happy and show it by pouring more money.

Company treats us *exceedingly* well. Interview is super easy. Laptop with wireless internet provided on the first day of class. Hotels during training and overnights are top notch. See Larkspur Landing and Radisson SAS.

There is a Site Feed so you don't have to keep checking.

Have a wonderful day!

I ran into a World crew that had done an RAF Brize Norton-Bahrain trip for UK's MOD recently. I know ATA and Omni have done them as well. Just suprised a start-up would get that, because it takes 24 months to get approved for military flights.

I don't know about "exceedingly well" Maxjet has the lowest wide-body pay in the industry, no work rules, a non-existant crew sked system and things for the crews are getting worse not better.

Well, if you go from Delta (pre-Chapter 11) to a start-up, that's a big culture shock. No start-up is going to offer legacy pay or benefits, don't you agree?

Yes, I agree with the pay issue. The CEO has already come out and said that, right now, he can't pay us what we're worth.

Just curious: Anyone knows what jetBlue's payscale was during its first year of operation? I heard it was the lowest narrowbody pay in the industry.

MAXjet is currently working on a 2nd year payscale.

I've enjoyed my schedule. I have been in the airline industry for only 8 years, but this is the best schedule I have ever had. I'm home on average 18 days. How about you DAL767?

You don't go to a start-up for the pay. I went because it was a great opportunity.

How many times in your life do you really get to be number 50 at an international airline?

Have a great week-end!
