What I find funny is that a nw guy is on here worried about jetblue business. For what its worth the company has already approved the new payrates. Not bad for no union.

How did the company come up with those rates? What is the hold up on it?

Herkdrvr I would submit here that a rising tide lifts all boats. I welcome the interest from other pilot groups in our progress, or lack therof.

Nevets, the rates were available to the company from a detailed report our Pilot Values Committee originally put together in 2006. Basically they are trying to set 320 rates at average for our peer-set flying medium narrowbodies, and then set 190 rates at 90 percent of that. Notice it's taken 3 years to get this far on it, and only this year has the company admitted that AK and WN are part of our peer set....

Question

Freight Dog - you never replied (post # 5, 15 & 19) - any chance of you making some t-shirts using your avatar? I'd buy a few for sure... Or if not, could I get a copy of your avatar and I'll make some of my own? TX

Edited to add: Looking on APC, if this pay raise goes through I will make as a 190 FO at Blue nearly what a 190 CA with similar longevity at US makes; our 320 CAs will make more than a 330 CA at US, and I STILL believe we are under-compensated and need ALPA (or any CBA representation). It makes me ill seeing how far this industry has fallen....
Didn't they adjust the work rules though so that even though the $$$ number per hour is bigger you really won't see an increase in pay? The 150% pay is gone isn't it?

Negative. I'm not a blue-juicer by any means, but most of us will see a significant raise. Unfortunately the premium trigger was raised from 70-78 hours, so now everything above 78 is 150 percent. In both 190 seats the raise is substantial even if you never see a minute of premium.

Unfortunately the Bus captain seat gain is quite a bit less, on the order of only 2-3 percent if that for most longevities.

No, the work rules are still in the "discusion" phase of the colaberative effort. Every one will see and increase in $$. You may bring home the same $$ but you will have more days off. The final verdict has yet to be determined.

Next weeks episode has yet to be written.

I don't believe anything until this check clears my bank.

Until then, it's all a game. I really can't believe only 646 voted, we should be ashamed.

I'm guessing we'll see the money right before the next union drive if at all.

I think the 150% pay over xx hrs idea is awesome. Would be nice if it was around 70 hrs, as was mentioned. I wish more airlines did that.

I care because it effects payrates for all 319/320 operators in the USA.
