Because they were hired to fly something else. That's not to say that they wouldn't be great at it, but it all goes back to career expectation.

Was a Frontier pilots expection to be unemployed? Sounded that way to me until Republic stepped in.

You are asking Republic pilots to respect your years at Frontier. You should respect the senior Captains at Republic.

Why is a 5 yr Captain at Frontier better than a 10 yr Captain at Republic?

Looks like Seaburys is going to help reorganize Frontier like they did to Midwest and NWA...

Actually, it takes 1 pilot. 1 pilot to hold it while the rest of the world revolves around him/her.

Which is Horse Poop as well. I was hired at RAH to fly airplanes. What airplane I fly depends entirely on what airplane the company owns. If it turns out that my efforts
have created a company capable of purchasing another company to advance itself in business then so be it. That company is now part of my company. D.O.H. is not going to cut it or happen. Relative seniority, temporary (2-3 year) equipment fences plus no displacements or down grades directly related to a vacancy bid is the only thing fair to anyone. The career expectation is to have a job. Everyone should be able to check that box fairly soon.

relative ie:
RAH has 2100 F9 has 700. Starting top down it goes 3/1 For the record that moves me down about 400 so I am not making any leaps over anyone's back here either.

The Midwest, Lynx, and Mokele Lists are a bit more tricky but should be handled much in the same way. Lynx, Mokele and F9 have aircraft, the Midwest situation needs rectified quick to allow the displaced pilots to bid over.

Furloughs go below furloughs. Nothing makes anyone persons family anymore important then the others but RAH isn't the one in financial trouble. Word is by the time we get this ironed out everyone should be off the street. They won't be happy but they will have a seat.

Sorry to hear that. I hope things work out for you but the reality is this is a huge, risky experiment BB is conducting. Good luck to you all.

Default Hmm...

Ya know what... This deal may just work out. Read a couple letters today from a associated unions. I think the pilot groups want to play ball on the same team.... Is this evolution? Naa, that would thinking positive!
