Maybe in the next ten years you can get an education, you sound like a truck driver. Even if she is twelve, she was able to complete a sentence without cursing. You may want to re-evaluate your own position when it comes to maturity level. Have a great day Willie.

You're right...stay at AWAC it's a much better career move for you!

AirWillie - I have heard your attitude before (20 yrs ago) and 10 years from now it had better change or you probably won't be with any major. 20 yrs. ago I had a conversation with a squadron mate about how he would never pay for his type rating and after two furloughs, numerous rejections, he finally got his type rating and was rejected by SWA. The reason was his poor attitude. Good $ and great place to work. What's with the negativity? Never say never!

p.s. APC, this is my first post and based on my observation my call sign could be used by some others. THX the happy Oscar

Glad to hear those sentiments from you Willie. Now, if you'll just give us you real name we will be glad to make sure you never have to come work at SWA. By the way, I really hate working a three day on, four day off line and making well over a 100K as an FO. It really sux to work here. By the way, that lady you are disparaging is probably one of the nicest people you would ever meet in your life. Judging by your previous posts on other threads, you should consider a career change, it doesn't sound like you are willing to make the sacrifices it takes to have a long successful career.

I just don't like the whole vibe of WN, and the fact that they think it's the place to work at. They take pride in having a very low acceptance rate for employees. You have to have an unreasonalbly high amount of hours just to fly a $hity 737 while kids around the world are flying it with 500 hours of single engine time, on top of that you need a type rating.

Wow, at 15 you sure have the industry figured out! Perhaps you should be an aviation consultant instead.

AW, Just can't believe you posts are real. Vibe? I am certainly getting one and it isn't pretty. If you are for real, with that kind of attitude it would probably be evident no matter who you interview with. Insulting the 737 is certainly going to win people over. You are right about one thing, our flight time requirements are higher because we don't want a kid with just 500 hours of single engine flight time anywhere near the flight controls.

Still the Happy Oscar!

Willie, we have plenty of pilots applying that have the requisite flight experience, we can be very discriminating as to find the great attitudes. Some of the guys that don't make it on the first interview (maybe just had a bad day) often get picked up the second time. In your case it would never happen.

Perhaps Boeing didn't get the word. Over 5000 737's delivered with another 1000+ on order which makes it the most successful airliner ever built. Yea, this place is really terrible....I work with great people (because the hiring process does work) and made 236k (206k pay and 30k in options on 620 block hours). Sorry we won't be able to correspond any more as I choose to spend my time helping qualified pilots with intelligent questions. I don't know how to put this any more gently but,....you’re a total idiot. Good luck with your career ...you'll need it.

I wasn't able to make it Saturday. Does anyone know when (and if) they will have another one? Also, can someone explain the process by which you get a second interview if you don't make it on the first one? I've heard that you have to wait a year, but after the year is up, do you have hope for the luck of the draw again as far as getting the second interview, or are you automatically contacted to see if you are interested in re-interviewing.

I would absolutely love to work at SWA, but the small amount of people hired in the first interview is very intimidating. That also makes it hard to justify getting the type before the interview. I don't really have any problem paying for the type, because you will make that money back very quickly. But here's my problem. Let's say that I go get the type now. It could be a year or more before I ever get an interview. Then if I don't get in on the first round and have another year before I get the second interview, I wonder how much of that training I am even going to remember.

That's the main reason that I wish that they would, at least, interview without the type.
