Yep...just got the message from SWAPA regarding the AIP. Better pay, retirement, ELITT, Lance Captain resolution, etc.

Sounds like TA1 with all the objectionable junk taken out.

Good Job Negotiating Commitee!

Is AIP the same as a TA (tentative agreement) in the rest of the industry??

With as close as it was last time, I wouldn't be surprised if they moved the lance captain percent JUST A LITTLE to make it 50.1% for to 49.9% against this time.

I heard the new contract has the same dollar value attached to it as the old contract. They rearranged some areas however total cost is the same. Anyone from SWA have any real details?

AIP is -Agreement in Principle-. The union and the company have basically agreed on everything but have not yet hammered out all the final language that will be in the final TA. SWAPA is saying they have addressed all the major sticking points from the previous TA.

Definitely the 50.1% solution.

The folks I know over there said that was Gary's intent all along. No additional cost to the company, just movement from one pile to the other.

Under the industry circumstances, I can't say that I blame him. Either way, move things around as best for the pilot group.
