Default CAL Address?

I am new to this forum so I apologize ahead of time if this has been asked already. I have someone from Continental Airlines that will be walking my stuff into the Chief Pilot’s office in EWR. Right now I have my fingers crossed for the best. I am about to submit my online application and have a few people who will be writing me Letters of Recommendation. My question to anyone who currently works for CAL is, who should I address the letter of rec's to at CAL? Should I send it to the Chief Pilot's name? I have the Pilot Recruitment address but no specific names. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Thank you very much in advance.

On your online app, which is required to apply at CAL, you will provide the email address of any CAL pilots who will provide LORs for you. The online app system will then notify them directly from the email you provide and their letters will then electronically be added to your file. That's how it works!

Is CAL doing a "little bit" of interviewing this summer?

calcapt,

Thank you very much for the information. I enjoy reading your posts on this message board. I am working to gather a few more CAL rec's, but at the same time, I have a few letters from my current airline, ie former chief pilot, VP, etc. I don't know if these letters will help at all but I figure they can't hurt. To whom do I address these letters to rather than "To Whom it May Concern". I do not have a specific name.

Thanks.

Probably best to take them to the interview.

The system is set up to be completely electronic and it only accepts internal recommendations. Mailing them in will do you no good.

Default CAL hiring & recommendations

I just interviewed with CAL on Tuesday. Hiring is going to be slow for the summer, ramping up to 40-60 per month late summer/early fall. As for recommendations, the online system will accept internal and external recommendations. I had 5 from fellow Horizon pilots as well as 1 CAL recommendation in the system with no problems. Good luck!

Is it possible to get hired with CAL without internal recs. I have lots of rec letters but none from CAL, and CAL is really my first choice.
