T-1A Guy,

Do you have to live near JFK or are there bases to choose from? Did you find out what the typical schedule is like or are you on a reserve at first?

Did you have to have an ATP or just the written to apply; I would think the type would be to ATP standards?

Thanks again for the info.

C212135,

Allcrews are JFK based...I commute from TX. You will need a crash pad if you do not live local. Typical schedule is 3 or 4 day trips to the UK, some charters all over the place. you can plan on 4 trips a month with 3 days of reserve (hence crash pad). You will need an ATP, the company pays and sends you to get your 757 type. At the moment all new hires are as Captains in the 757, although with current growth plans we will be hiring FO's soon.

I would say that your time would be fine...as long as it is turbine time. If you live in the area I would go to the HQ and ask to be shown around and express your interest.

Ask for "Beowulf" when you go in the office.

He's the Fleet Manager.

T-1A Guy,

Do they pay for the commute, or do they have agreements? Also, to get hired as Captain off the street, do you need time in type or just international heavy jet time to be considered? Thanks again.

C212135,

Commute is on your own....we do have agreements with lots of carriers...CASS is coming soon I am told. No type is needed, intl heavy time would help.

Wait.....you are accusing Sandman of not liking girls? Have you SEEN his avatar?

Are you short-sighted or what?
