Respectfully, wouldn't you know more about the schedule and trips if you just took the job? I'd like to hear more too. Do you have a 757/767 type?

T-1A Guy 07-09-2006 06:14 AM

I have not started yet...leave next week. No I do not have a type...all militray time.
I only know what they said in the interview.

Bulldog69 09-11-2006 05:16 AM

Eos

T1 Guy, I too just have military time , mostly fighters - will that work with Eos?

T-1A Guy 09-11-2006 08:10 AM

Military time is fine...they are more concerned on whether you are a good guy who likes to be around people who are expecting excellent service.

sandman2122 11-17-2006 04:38 PM

Lots of Laughs! Using the phrase "good guy" and "excellent service" is a joke even for you Shane.

BTW, good job snowing the EOS hr dept.................maybe you'll get to fly with only females like in your AETC days!?

Good Riddens

I heard EOS actually got $75 million in new financing. That'll keep them around for at least 2 more years.

fireman0174 11-18-2006 03:59 AM

I saw a news article that EOS was looking at service from JFK to Paris and/or Zurich. Also service from other un-named US cities.

They $75 mil would be for expansion. There load factors are more than ample to keep them sustaining. As the same with Maxjet

C212135 11-22-2006 05:01 AM

T-1A Guy,

Any news on how EOS is doing or if they are still looking for folks? How's training going? Thanks for any info you have.

T-1A Guy 11-22-2006 07:43 AM

The word I am hearing...we should be hiring very soon. My guess is interviews will start in the Jan-Feb time.

T-1A Guy 11-22-2006 07:56 AM

Sandman2122

Hey Sandman,

If you are going to use names and throw mud....have the balls to identify yourself! Although if it is who I am thinking of...this is pretty much your style. I remember you as an abusive, power hungry AETC instructor that word is...did not like girls. Stab anyone in the back lately at FEDEX?

B757200ER 11-22-2006 09:28 AM

Little off-topic, eh guys? Some history lesson we should know about?

T-1A Guy 11-22-2006 10:19 AM

I will just say...some people should move on from the past!

C212135 11-23-2006 02:24 AM

T-1A Guy,

Thanks for the reply, did you go through training already--where is it located, pay, timeframe? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

sandman2122 11-23-2006 06:09 AM

T-1A guy,

No, I loved my wife and kids too much than to lose that by screwing around with AF students - which btw is an abuse of a supervisior's authority, punishable under the UCMJ.

Adios Shrimp!

T-1A Guy 11-23-2006 06:44 AM

Wow,

I must have had a good time back then. Trouble is you are full of crap...so keep your lies to yourself.

T-1A Guy 11-23-2006 06:58 AM

C122135

Getting back to the point we look at this site!

C122135,

Finished training some time ago, just finished IOE. The company is really great about paying for everything. $3,000 a month + $20 a day per diem while in training. They pay for your hotel during indoc and gave us a rental car to share. Type training was in Minni and you share a two bedroom appartment type hotel room and they re-imbursed the guys that brought their own cars for mileage. After your check ride in the sim you go on full pay...$65/hr.
What else would you like to know?

Ve764 11-23-2006 05:31 PM

T-1A Guy.

How can I send an app or resume to them?

T-1A Guy 11-23-2006 06:55 PM

I would log on the site and send a resume to the HR dept. We are a small comany and you will find that you will receive individual attention. Let me know if you have any problems.

C212135 11-23-2006 07:55 PM

T-1A Guy,

Do you have to live near JFK or are there bases to choose from? Did you find out what the typical schedule is like or are you on a reserve at first?

Did you have to have an ATP or just the written to apply; I would think the type would be to ATP standards?

Thanks again for the info.

T-1A Guy 11-24-2006 05:21 AM

C212135,

Allcrews are JFK based...I commute from TX. You will need a crash pad if you do not live local. Typical schedule is 3 or 4 day trips to the UK, some charters all over the place. you can plan on 4 trips a month with 3 days of reserve (hence crash pad). You will need an ATP, the company pays and sends you to get your 757 type. At the moment all new hires are as Captains in the 757, although with current growth plans we will be hiring FO's soon.

cs757200 11-24-2006 11:01 AM

T-1A guy, do they require a lot of heavy jet experience or would someone with a fractioncal background have a chance at an interview

T-1A Guy 11-24-2006 02:13 PM

I would say that your time would be fine...as long as it is turbine time. If you live in the area I would go to the HQ and ask to be shown around and express your interest.

B757200ER 11-24-2006 06:33 PM

Ask for "Beowulf" when you go in the office.

He's the Fleet Manager.

C212135 11-24-2006 08:43 PM

T-1A Guy,

Do they pay for the commute, or do they have agreements? Also, to get hired as Captain off the street, do you need time in type or just international heavy jet time to be considered? Thanks again.

T-1A Guy 11-25-2006 05:58 AM

C212135,

Commute is on your own....we do have agreements with lots of carriers...CASS is coming soon I am told. No type is needed, intl heavy time would help.

cs757200 11-27-2006 07:17 AM

what is the flight time they tend to look for in a new hire

Wait.....you are accusing Sandman of not liking girls? Have you SEEN his avatar?

Are you short-sighted or what?

captjns 12-13-2006 04:49 AM

Why did EOS change it's call signe from EOS to "NO DON" (pardon the spelling?)

MAXjetPilot767 12-13-2006 04:52 AM

I think it has always been "New Dawn". EOS is the greek goddess of the Dawn.

captjns 12-13-2006 09:37 AM

Thanks for the explanation. I guess I was absent from school when they covered Greek Mythology.

Skyone 12-13-2006 10:59 AM

Actually the "new dawn" call sign was not the first choice. IACO or whomever approves call signs would not allow "EOS" saying it sounded to much like "Helios" or whatever from Greece. I may be wrong but somewhere it was said that "New Dawn" was about the fifth choice.

edik 12-13-2006 11:15 AM

T-1A Guy,

what is the captains pay like?

Hmmm... I thought I heard them use the EOS call sign in the beginning of their operations when coming into EGSS. Probably old age setting I guess.

Didn't Helios change their name to AJet?

T-1A Guy 12-13-2006 04:29 PM

First year Capt pay is $110/hr, however, you can expect to be paid as an FO for the first year or so $65/hr. At the moment all guys hired are direct Capt hires and can fly in either seat. If you get called to fly as the Capt....you get Capt's pay, otherwise you bid as a FO.

N6724G 12-15-2006 06:24 AM

What is EOS airlines

IronWalt 01-19-2007 09:49 AM

Is there a pay scale for EOS posted on this site. I could not find anything

cs757200 01-21-2007 05:19 AM

do they still plan on hiring this year?
