Default LAX or LGB to Disneyland?

Looks like I was the high bidder in the kid's school auction for a trip to Disneyland, so I'm thinking about pulling them out of school this week and heading down.

Only question is getting to the park. It looks like Long Beach is closer to DL but LAX has way more service. Does anyone have transportation gouge from LAX to Anaheim?

Also, any other tips for a quick visit would be welcome. I've only been to Disneyworld, so Disneyland will be all new.

Thanks!

PS the auction raised enough for two new fully equipped computer labs! It does my heart good to know I'm helping to provide the skills needed for the next generation of kids to learn how to play Call of Duty.

Disneyland Resort Express Los Angeles Airport (LAX) - Anaheim Resort Area Transportation(Bus) from Anaheim Disneyland Area Tours

This is what I did with the kids last time we did Disneyland. It was super easy and took us right to the hotel. I think they only stops at a few hotels in the DL area so check if yours is one of them or is close to one of them. If you have a choice of where to stay, I highly recommend the Grand Californian Hotel. It is located in Downtown Disney and has easy access to both parks.

Have fun!

Thanks! That's just what we needed.

The auction item was 2 nights hotel with 4 day hopper passes, I believe the hotel is a block away from the park and has a free shuttle to the gate.

Maybe after the kids clean their rooms I'll let em know what we won!

Distance closest to furthest: SNA, LGB, LAX, BUR, ONT, PSP. SAN is probably in there between BUR and ONT.

Have fun down there. Even though the tickets and room are paid for, get used to the concept of $12 hot dogs and $5 cups of soda.

Highway robbery with a happy face!

Don't go on a weekend or holiday; you'll only be able to ride 3-4 rides after standing in line (literally) all day.

I think the only place to get somewhat healthy food (sandwiches and salads -- not fried junk) is in Toon Town at the back of Disneyland. If you aren't into that stuff, the rest of the park is just fine, too.

I have..a few tips..SNA is the closest, so it will cut down on time, and if at all possible, travel with someone who is elderly, a pregnant woman, or physically disabled, or whoever you can find that would require a wheelchair, such as a great-aunt, or grandmother. The whole party traveling with the person with the wheelchair will go in a special line which bypasses the entire other lines, thus, you are first in line for all the rides .

You can take the super shuttle or prime time on the lower level under the sign for shuttles at lax on the outer curb. It costs like 17 dollars and prob somewhere around 10 per person extra to get to hotels in anaheim where disneyland is. I take a shuttle directly to the disneyland hotel sometimes with either of those companys where my wife picks me up from there. Takes about 30 minutes once you get going without traffic to disneyland.
