Default Petition

I am not very tech savvy so I am asking. How do we start a petition to combat this CVR bill, Senate Bill S.3048.

Can we set a web site up where each pilot can digitally sign? It needs to be not only an expression of discontent but a declaration that not one of us will come to work the day this becomes law. This is not a regional vs. major, my comapany is better then yours, I am a better pilot then you, you taking my flying issue. We need to unify on this now more then ever.

When Senator DeMint grounds the country's entire airline fleet it should send the signal that this sort of gestapo tactic will not be tolerated. He is going to get someone killed and will do nothing but further degrade what is becoming a thankless profession.

Ideas?

How about everyone copy the text of the ALPA letter, print it, sign, it, and send it snail mail to DeMint's office? 50,000 individual pieces of mail might make more of an impression than a petition.

I believe both would be important steps. Without the real threat of a work stoppage staring these idiots in the face they will simply go on doing what they think will generate votes. If you don't agree I'd ask you to look at what a boat load of BS the TSA is, nothing more then a public lube job. It makes them think something is happening.

OK, so the gentleman suggested the website Start a Petition . It looks good, and it looks to be one which has our best interests in hand. Not spamming people with advertisements or selling email addresses.

I don't want to run at this half baked so I would like some input as to what we should say in our petition. I don't believe there is one of us who wants to work under the scrutiny of having CVR's used against us. I think the only stance to take is that if this bill were to be passed that nothing flys.

This petition needs presented not only to government but to our companies who are supporting this idea as another way to make it look as if they are doing something about the problem. We also need to have as many of us endorse it as well, which again means it needs crafted properly.

Where are the writers? Thoughts? Ideas?
