ACL,

That's not what the guy that started the thread said. He wasn't speculating but reporting as such. Assume all you want like Bastian and Anderson on their way to NRT on the 9th of January for a 1500 press conference to announce the JAL deal. For me it's trust and verify. You guys remind me of the Weather Channel, something, somewhere could happen at sometime...... pretty insightful.

From the CAL "Corp. Daily Rag" - DNU this afternoon.....

CO comments on advances in U.S.-E.U. open skies talks
CO today issued the following statement regarding the successful resolution of the second phase of open skies talks between the U.S. and the E.U.:
“Continental congratulates the U.S. government on concluding phase two open skies negotiations with Europe. Continental supports aviation liberalization, which allows for more competition in the marketplace, gives airlines the opportunity to expand and generate jobs and gives consumers more travel choices. Continental believes close coordination and cooperation with the European Union on aviation matters is important to the U.S. and international economies.”

For you information, they were on that flight, and when they got there, the deal changed. If you noticed the chatter out of the puzzle palace changed that day. Coincidence?, I think not!

Yeah right, you just keep believing that. I was there and Anderson was nowhere to be seen and there was never any press conference scheduled. Fact. I also think that was the week when the purchase of Alaska was imminent according to those in the know.

Here is a link to an article on it...notice towards the bottom they speak of it adding 80,000 jobs because of it...is that US or EUR jobs. Not sure how to take it...what do you all think?

UPDATE 4-EU/US boost Open Skies, ownership still a question | Reuters

Um I could tell you where he flew off to, but if you are so smart you already know!

I beleive that ppl were stating that EB was on the flight not RA.

What other word would you use? Factually speaking there is no change. That is far different than what was initially reported. You can speculate all you want but currently nothing has changed. Again it's the Weather Channel mentality, something, somewhere at sometime could happen.

I think the article says it "might" create 80,000 jobs. Nice. Or it also "might" reduce 80,000 jobs. Who knows, hehe.

The point is that the people running the companies will get more money, right?
