The company has begun classic scare tactics...a press release came out earlier saying they will inform some employees of layoffs and possibly sending out a WARN letter...

Good Luck. Glad to see Paul is Chair. His dad wrote a book or two on unions I believe?

Now you guys just need to keep some of the ranks from the overtime, and crossing IF the strike happens. I know of at LEAST two that I would bet that cross!!!

I love how the unions will set up all the stakeouts to monitor all plane movements. Its quite impressive actually. I remember back in 00' when Comair went on strike and they caught on camera those two guys who flew a plane back to CVG in the middle of the night. In the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! That's awesome. "Scabs in Action!" I remember was the headline from ALPA. LOL! That was great.

Rumor has it, spirit has contacted all non-pilot employees who have flight experience. They are looking hire these individuals and put them in a pool, should there be a strike.

That's a pretty improbable rumor. If they were desperate like that they'd hire contract pilots with airbus experience, I'm sure there's plenty of them around. I don't think a Spirit ramper with Cub experience would be much useful to them.

It will be tough for them to try and fly a plane after my steel toe boots get through with em'!
