30 hour trip with a 26 hour layover.

Cheers,

P.S. all flight deck crew members on this flight today could hold captain on some time of equipment we have. And almost all FAs could be my mom

Seems just about everyone does this except Delta. We use 2 CAs and 2 FOs. When NWA went to our staffing formula, it added several hundred positions.

There, I fixed it.

It also goes rather senior, as lines can be built to fly 9 on, and have 21 days off.

Huh, what? No.. they are FOs. If they bid and flew 76 international captain, they would be captains. They are probably flying FO for QOL... that goes on everywhere, but to somehow imply they are captains is not really true. At any rate, I am pretty sure the paychecks tell that story. Not really arguing with you, because I understand your point that they are probably senior guys.... Nice thing is that they are not in a seat that somebody more junior can now occupy A thought just occured to me though.. don't you have a up or out thing at AA? And ya'll need to get that thing changed too... you really need to have 2 captains on one of those flights... that whole 3 FO thing is not right

T,

You have completely lost me?? Of course they are FOs, where did I state they were captains? Maybe my wording was confusing. Most of the FOs who fly DEL have the seniority to hold wide-body Captain positions. And yes most have been Captains.

Up our out means you are required to upgrade, however once you have sat in the seat you can bid back down, plus many of these could have been captains and after the shrinkage that occurred after the 9/11 many could have been displaced from CA positions and now choose not to upgrade. Obviously many of these guys do this for QOL.

As for the 3 FOs, uh... we are operating under a BK STYLE contract... Maybe we can fix that this time around... How about you fix the SCOPE issue you all let out of the bag... The whole large RJ thing is not right.

AA

P.S. Usually takes 3 pages for threads to start to turn sour. Kudos to you, we are only page 2....

Yeah, just as soon as we fix the actual bankruptcy contract we are operating under. Seems we all have some bad sections we are operating under.

I thought AA had an up or out policy in their contract.

Sorry.. I didn't mean any offense... really. I was just asking the question. I guess I didn't word that very well myself. Apology offered in all sincerity.

And I absolutely agree with you. If some of those things are REGIONAL jets.. I am an astronaut...

Exactly, I was not the one to start flinging poo... Just answer a simple question, and then in typical fashion someone had to start the jabs....

Why should I expect more.

Well AA, they are STILL F/Os'. They, (you), haven't checked out yet as the "old man" yet. Big difference.
