Gotcha.. my bad. TIC doesn't go over so well in print.. 'specially if you are dense (like me).

One other thing, guys think we have protection with these 5 year contracts. Guess what happens when we get bought? All the new company has to do is buy out the remainder of the contract or wait until each individual's own contract expires and guess what? You got it, they tell us they are not renewing the contract. I already have had 2 lawyers look this over and this contract is our path to unemployment if we are bought.

I fly with guys that talk about this scope, blah, blah, blah and "jetblue wouldnt do that to us." Just read your contract and it only guarantees you 5 years of employment nothing more, nothing less. Guys, hate to tell you but we're on borrowed time no matter how you look at it.

You don't believe our "poison pill" of one year's salary paid within 30 days of termination/furlough is enough protection?

Do the math, and you tell us. Not being a wisea$$... I don't know how much the buyout would cost. My guess is that it would be chump change if a big enough offer came across. that being said, I don't think JB is going anywhere.
