AA Recall Rumor
#32
Latest rumor is that AMR wants the C-series at Eagle. APA has countered with mergering the list. I figure they will merge the list and operate 70-90 seats at Eagle, but I highly doubt APA will let a 100 seater operate at Eagle with or without one list. Maybe we will hear some more leaked info from the secret meeting between the CEO and the unions today.
After reviewing the history of strikes at AMR, it appears the Flight Attendants are the ones with the least to lose and the most to gain by striking.

I hope that these recalls are Eagle flowthroughs. After all, it would be the fair and right thing to do seeing as 244 should have been given the opportunity starting in 2007 but were unjustly withheld.
The arbitrator gave his legal ruling that this should have occurred but as a GIFT to AA guys, decided to remedy it by sending only 35 over immediately.
So before you start complaining, you might want to remember....seniority rules? Right?

Recalls? How can you be recalled if you were never hired at AA? How can you be hired if all AA pilots on furlough haven't been recalled yet? "Fair and right thing to do..."? Surely you jest. This 'arbitrator' is a senile old codger who couldn't find his a*s with a funnel. The 'Gift' was to Eagle pilots, not the other way around.
But then again when has fair and equitable ever been in the lexicon here ?

The "gift", is to AA pilots.
244 Eagle FTs should have come to AA starting in 2007. That is an indisputable fact, regardless of your liking. The "old codger" clearly stated this is the legal interpretation and application of Supp W.
The gift to AA pilots, is that the old codger graciously decided to immediately send over only 35 guys to AA (not the full 244) as a remedy.
Gift to AA pilots? Absolutely!

Can we still applaud someone for "calling it like they see it", when they are covering their eyes and not getting the whole picture? - i.e. not knowing any specifics covered in Ltr3/SuppW. (Flowthrough & FLOWBACK... lets not forget... Agreement. )

Recalled? How can I get recalled? The arbitrator on the 7300 floor ruling counted me as an "active" pilot. Funny, I have not seen a pay check since Sep 01. Plus the flow throughs come before "new hires". I'm not a new hire, but I'm not recalled, but they are flowing through, but the former TWA guys are new hires, but they are "active" pilots too (even if they were furloughed)................I'm confused.
Oh well, at least I got hired by Delta on Monday. Now, I just have to wait for a class date.

P.S. 27 retirements Aug 1 to those who were wondering.
