Default Spirit Jumpseat Question

Never tried to JS on Spirit. Does anyone know if they charge you for your bags or anything non-standard like that?

From what I can see on the ALPA website, it's just walk up to the gate and fill out a form. Any requirement to list via phone? Any and all gouge would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
AD

Bags are free as long as your id says "Crew" on it. Walk up is fine, but much easier for the agents if you list ahead of time: 866-609-8858.

Most of our planes have two cockpit and 1 flight attendant j/s available. Welcome aboard.

spirit will charge you $10 for any jumpseat that has an international destination, and appropriate departure taxes from overseas to the usa, in some cases up to $95 ...most flight atendants will charge you for water, coke etc

The company policy is to charge jumpseating pilots for drinks if they're in the cabin...even company pilots commuting are supposed to pay for drinks...I've never been charged for drinks and never seen any offline commuting pilots pay for drinks either. I have friends who are Part 135 on a paid ticket in a uniform are moved to the Big Front Seat and get drinks. Just call that number listed above, and it'll make life much easier.

Keep in mind the A320s have 1 jumpseat, all but 2 of the A319s have 2.
Welcome aboard!

are they supposed to? Yes Most of them, however, do not. Personally, I have not seen an OAL crewmember charged for a drink in a long time.

Just one of everyone's favorite in ACY will, but i have never seen it otherwise.

Also, if you are going through ACY, remember to get your ticket and cass form downstairs before you go through security.
