sore looser

its easier to get into heaven or become a movie star than to get a major airline job....as a pilot. ive seen hundreds...no thousands of perfectly fine pilots get shot down at these airline interviews...of course the BEST EXAMPLE was the space shuttle crewmember that was turned down by united....mid 90's

Oh was that the black guy. the woman....or the Oriental or even the South American ?? What exactly are you trying to say ?? Your average Joe Blow is best suited for the job? I say the best qualified person for the job regardless of his/her appearance....

There is no reason why an FAA CERTIFIED PILOT, who is a UNITED STATES CITIZEN, .

 Wow my fellow vet...9 years including an overseas tour. Have you faced the enemy? That being said....can anyone who knew this individual state that he was a US Citizen? That would put it in a different light. If he was a citizen and not just a legal alien (and yes we do have those types flying our airliners) than he should have due process...no doubt about it. Anyone out there to shed light on his citizenship?......Ripper

Killship, I saw your post before you made the edits and I almost blew a gasket. Good thing I didn't respond immediately and saw the rest of your post. And now I have to say I agree with you. Wish more people felt the same way as you.

btw, just a suggestion, but we don't really like to be referred to Orientals. Thanks.

Josh - you left me off that list of non-US born folks...<grin>

:) LAFF, are you a US citizen or a visa dude?

Apologies about that vagabond. I'm not exactly what you would call a typical airline pilot either...I was born in the UK a son to parents from India...a (proudly) American citizen flying 757's as a Captain for a major airline beginning with the letter C. hope that helps....

Yeah Frozen, we'll be holding hands in song and dance pretty soon! ;)

No worries, Killship. You don't have to justify yourself to me or anybody else for that matter. You're cool.

Ripper,

Sorry no. I didn't get to kill any bad guys... I guess that makes me a second rate soldier. My bad.

I was too busy supporting the folks that did the actual fighting. Remember that for every front line fighter, it takes 10 others to make the operation happen. But I didn't get to shoot at anybody, so I guess my service doesn't count for anything.

;) Not my point and you know that. Just trying to remind those that have forgotten 9/11/01 that we will never return to the world of 9/10/01. If a non-US citizen is a security risk then he/she should not have the controls of a cruise missile. The world has changed.
