Default Swa Resume

I am attending an HPA/SWA convention this Friday in San Diego and was planning on turning in a resume to SWA. Couple questions for the crowd:

Should I include cover letter, and if so who should I address it to?
Do I need rec. letters w/ it, or just if/when I interview?
Do I have any chance at interview w/ out Type Rating-planning on HPA in November.

Thanks

I think a resume only would suffice. I went to the open house in DAL and cover letters were not the norm. It's pretty tough to get the call without the type(not impossible). The only guys I personally know to get calls were IP's, chief pilots, check airman, etc. None of my regular line pilot type friends were getting a call. My app was in over a year, no call. Got the type at HPA and had a call within 5 weeks, interviewed in under 2 months.

A resume will do. I handed a resume and a cover letter to them at a job fair and was handed the cover letter right back. Got an interview soon after but not hired. I think a cover letter is good when you send a resume by mail or e-mail. When you do it in person you don't need an intro letter.
