I personally know 4 regional guys that recently entered phase II. The least experienced has over 8000 TT and has been flying 121 for almost 10 years. The other three have over 10000 TT and at least 10 years 121 experience. All of them have jet 121 CA time. The youngest is 35. Hardly rookies.
I don't know. They hire some jokers here. Just met the forth class of '11. Crazy bunch of guys. Wouldn't want to meet them in a dark ally...

Hey know I know which hotel your staying in
Are there any guys/gals from the Jan 26 interview who have yet to receive a class date?
As of today, No class date yet. I interviewed on Jan 26, afternoon.
Anyone hearing anything for a mid March class date??
For the people in phase 2

I was in phase two for 13 weeks. I worked for several companies that required drug screening and they went out of business by the time I was interviewing with JB. So take it easy, I have ran into several people that I interview with that were in class within two weeks and I was the last one from my interview group who got hired. So good luck and expect the full 12 weeks for the back ground check and if you got quicker then enjoy. I used that time to save up some money.

Good Luck

One of the most recent new hires is about a 4500 hour guy with the last couple years in the left seat at Gojets.... and nowhere even close to 30. Nice kid, hope he does well.
That should be fun when he flies with the former TSA MEC guys. Neither Beechnut nor I have anything against regional guys, we both were ourselves. We are concerned about guys coming in with relatively low-time telling us how great things are, and how we don't need a CBA, when they have yet to fully enjoy the "JetBlue experience". It's easy to be pumped up full of blue juice exiting the school house. Just food for thought.

It's our job to educate the newbies. I've found it only takes a few short months to get a new guy "up-to-speed" with the needs of the pilot group. All we need to do is show them why, not preach and proceed with class. Preaching and anger just makes ALPA and all the supporters look bad.

In other words, be cool and they will come.
