BTW, Lake, spoke with my rep tonight.....un-freakin-believeable!!! I knew what was going on, but even this conversation went beyond that. I agree with ya, every person should call their silo rep and have a heart to heart. Even if your eyes are wide open, you'll be surprised.

This!

Take a moment and make the call.

It's hard to take someones word on a public forum behind a screen name but when you hear the truth from the people involved that is a whole different story.

If you want to sing the praises of the DR and the airline AFTER you have heard the truth then so be it. Just be informed. That is all anyone asks.
Why don't you just tell us lake? I hate this cloak and dagger secret crap. Just tell us.

Why don't you just call instead of waiting to hear it second-hand on a message board?

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not. Should it not be then all I can say is we've already told you. As mentioned above people don't want to hear it on a message board so the give those in "the know" a call and hear the truth.

For some reason most of our pilot group would rather have their heads in the sand then spend 5-10 minutes on the phone hearing the truth. Will the phone call make you hate Jetblue? Maybe, maybe not. It certainly will open your eyes to the fact Jetblue management is our for Jetblue management. They are not interested in you, me or any other work group.

From insurance to PEA language to benefits to retirement. Hearing the truth will sting but you will be better off going forward.

Fromt the day you were hired as a baby blue you were taught to think Jetblue would take care of you. The truth is this is not the case and you should consider your options. A conversation with your silo rep will prove this.
What question/questions should I ask of my silo rep? If these type things are going on then why isn't our PVC informing us of the "bad" things that are happening here. I mean this with no sarcasm...I seriously want to be informed.

The highlighted part is a GREAT GREAT GREAT question to ask them. That my friend is just the beginning.

Ask them is to tell you what is going on.

Any information, which the pilots deem truthful and necessary, Jetblue claims is NDA. For example, when BDO gave their proposal to Jetblue which indicated how poor our retirement was compared to industry standard Jetblue claimed that information was NDA therefore preventing the PVC from putting out the data. The PVC contacted BDO directly to ask if any of the information was NDA to which BDO stated no. At that point some of the information was released.

All the information regarding the gaping holes in your PEA jetblue considers NDA. The legal opinions presented to the PVC by the DC lawyers stating the gaps in protections and language was considered NDA by Jetblue.

In short, the DC lawyers told the PVC we will not be covered in a T/E, we can be let go, we cannot force a CBA airline to integrate us, etc. is covered under NDA according to Jetblue.

This is why you need to call your silo rep. They can discuss this off the record but not publicly.

OK, so it is about our substandard benefits and protections? I already know that.

So management is looking out for their and company's interests? How is that different than any other executive management team? The only difference is that some JetBlue pilots are dumb enough to FALL for the B.S., and other JetBlue pilots are too stupid to not fully EXPECT it from them.

I thought maybe you were talking about something new, that I don't already know. I don't need a rep to tell me my health insurance is too expensive, and that the company will soon make it more expensive.

I don't need a rep to tell me that our retirement is below average, and that the company is dragging their feet on the fix. I'm not dead.

I don't need a rep to tell me that our merger and aquisition language is insufficient, because well, I have a brain.

I don't need a rep to tell me that the company restricts what the student council can tell the kids. I live in America.

If you're going to sound the alarm bells of hysteria, I thought maybe you would have some big NEW development. If you do, then stop the "I have a secret" game and come out with it.

As for those that don't believe things unless they come from a rep, they don't WANT to believe it, and you can't fix stupid anyway.

Both extremes of this debate are irrational.
Quote: Well, I guess if we do get aquired, you will get that CBA and pilot retirement numbers you are looking for.

Bright side and all.
....and I have some ocean front property to sell you in Arizona.

We'll be lucky to have jobs if we get bought. Dave & company will take their millions and will disappear.

BD I understand you get it but I think lake is suggesting others don't. And not only do they not get it but they believe JetBlue is not behind the degradation of our protections and benefits. I contend the phone call will educate them on HOW Jetblue and the leadership they believe in are truly, for lack of a better term, intentional screwing the pilots backwards and forwards.
We are in such a hole we may never dig out before a T/E.
