Unless you know someone with a crystal ball you won't find a good answer. I was hired in May, online beginning July and hoping to hold a line in Feb when system bid takes effect. As I mentioned above they are shrinking 190 JFK base due to slot restrictions and the growth in BOS. The truth is nobody really knows how it will pan out.

I can say that reserve is pretty damn sweet if you don't commute. I'm averaging around 30/mo.

I think perhaps by Jan we should hold a line in JFK with all the movement. 12 vacancies in category after this latest bid award. They are shrinking the base, but talking to folks it seems it will not be fast or drastic. We will have to wait and see I suppose.

I was hired in January, hit the line in March. I was just awarded my first hard line for October, but I have held a move up or hybrid line for the last two bids.

Good to know. I was based in JFK before and it still is way easier to commute from Houston. Glad to relieve you all reservists.

Please suggest some good crash pads (for the JFK folks).

if your in phase 2 right now the oct 19th class if full. so no calls for a few weeks. my plan is to stay drunk till they call or I get a letter so as to make the time fly by.

Plenty of pads available in JFK in the Kew Gardens area. Jetblue runs an employee shuttle from the airport to Kew Gardens, so transportation shouldnt be a problem. There are some crashpads listed on the company intranet website, and of course lots of postings in the JFK crew lounge. I wouldnt worry about reserving a crashpad until you are almost done with the simulator training.

Any word if there are going to be classes in Nov/Dec?

Should have classes every 2 weeks for the foreseeable future. Maybe a break for the holidays though.
