Hmmmmmmmmmmm, let's see:

2005: worked.....no meal
2006: worked.....no meal
2007: worked.....no meal
2008: worked.....no meal
2009: worked.....no meal
2010: working......ALL DAY....no meal (I'm beginning to see a trend here),
but at least my CEO is getting his "forfeited" $500,000 paycheck since we're showing a profit for the year, so SOMEONE is getting a nice XMAS gift....

Yeah, but think of the huge tax bill he's gonna get. Should make you feel better.

Thankyou from those of us who are at home this holiday and manage you during the year.

Thankyou for making our job easy as you fight among yourselves.

Unions are bad, but you know that. Thankyou and we hope you get your wake-up call.

Keep fighting amongst yourselves so we get our bonouses next year.

We love non aviation types deciding major senority issues for you. Got to go, children are getting up. Again, thanks.

Pilots pretty much passed the opportunity to carry a Turkey around for four days. Flight Attendants latched on to these things like they were precious family heirlooms. Some carried two or three. The carcasses rode around in RJ and ATR overhead bins dripping on passengers' heads until they were soggy, moldy, mush.

Nice gesture from management who had absolutely no clue about what their employees did for a living.

Kudos to Delta for creatively thinking of something the working stiffs might actually be able to use.

Holy crap, I just laughed out load in the crew room big time... that was the best I've read this month!

Oh, man, I laughed so hard reading this I am crying. Hard to regain my composure enough to type a response.

Let's see. I've been home for one holiday with family in the last dozen or so years and that was only because I came down with something and the doctor said "YOU WILL NOT FLY AND GIVE THIS TO OTHERS. IT IS VERY SERIOUS!" That was a wonderful gift from someone at work I am pretty sure, but can't blame management for that one.

Otherwise, I was lucky enough one year to get a Heavenly Ham gift certificate for a spiral ham.

Another year, I managed to walk in to the crew room to see the remnants of a holiday feast with a few slices of pie left over.

Another year, meals were provided "between the banks of flights" so I am guessing the rampers, mechanics and agents got to eat everything.

Another year, the poor red coat thought we looked so pathetic in the cockpit that she ran to the President's Club and raided it for all the cheese, crackers and stuff she could find to give to us on the flight to our overnight.

I'm still waiting for this glamorous lifestyle to kick in that I heard about growing up.

Eggs-actly!

I remember during my interview...telling the interviewer that there was no stinking way I was ever going to work Thanksgiving or Christmas unless they gave me extra money and a wonderful meal.

I told him I'd sooner join the military or become a cop because they NEVER have to work on holidays, and all the food they get from their employers is awesome.
