Does anyone know of any other web sites that have active pilot forums? Particularly dealing with Major airline hiring?
Thanks in advance!

www.flightinfo.com will make you pay $10 to join. It is full of a whole bunch of nonsense and rediculousness, but every once in awhile there will be useful info there.

We like to think we do pretty well with providing timely info on airline hiring. The truth is that not many airlines are hiring, therefore there isn't an abundance of dialog on the subject.

Just in case you haven't seen "the rest of the site", I encourage you to look at each airline you're interested in here:

http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines.html

Each profile has updated hiring information (with application info for those hiring).

Regards -

If you are going to spend $10, go to www.*************.com . They verify pilot certificates over there before they will let you post and so far it's kept all the FI sh*t out. They have a good employment section and airline specific "crew rooms." Tell em Wu sent you.

Hmmm... that's weird. I never paid $10 when I registered in their forum. Did this just recently change?

Me neither, but i think i did hear this is a new thing, all that matters is my log in over there still works and i didnt have to fork over any cash.

Bottom line though, if you know of a few of these websites and actively visit all of them you would quickly find out that APC blows them all out of the water. Just my 2 cents!!

I read two sites regularly. This one and *************.com. Forget about FI.com... it's just gone down hill. PPW.com is a pay site, but I think it's been worth it since you know 100% that the folks there are commercial pilots, and it's "self moderated" through peer pressure.

I do think though that this is the best free everything-aviation site out there...

flightinfo is an absolute joke. The only thing that website produces is a bunch of idiotic nonsense with absolutely nothing of value worth reading. I like APC because it tends to be more serious and very productive. Flightinfo should be read only for enterntainment purposes.

The sad thing about flight info is that at one point it was a really great forum. But when Mark (the founder of the site) passed away and his brother took over, the "aviation spirit" of the boards managment went away. Now it is nothing but a revenue generator. Many of the moderators who helped get FI.com up and running are now deeply involved at PPW.
