Don't ever put your Integrity into question bro! Do the right thing...even when nobody is looking! It sucks that this mechanical issue has created a speed bump for you...but be honest and the rest will work itself out.
If you decide to fib, just pm me your name, so I know which pilot to look out for when i'm traveling w/ my family!

I was supposed to take my checkride today for my ATP but the airplane went down on mechanical and the owner said it won't get fixed for a week. I can always go to ATP Inc but I have a 3 day starting tomorrow.
I am just curious if it will be considered an unethical move to claim to have an ATP on the application. I don't want to miss the opportunity to apply on this round but on the other hand I don't have my ATP yet.
This is not something that I cannot explain during an interview but I know that they do a PRIA work and they will pull my records off of FAA database with a license date of 12th or 13th of Sept..
Thanks..

Ok... I`m going to kinda be the ********* here!!!
Why don`t you have your ATP now? If you are flying for a regional, you have probably been there for awhile and have the necessary 1500 hours. What have you been waiting for? If it is a matter of wanting to get on the band wagon and join the bluejet?? Why not meet the necessary requirements to get the job?

He probably saw no point the past couple years to go spend the money to get his ATP on his own with the very limited hiring that had gone on. Why waste the money if you can wait and get it from your company. Now that JetBlue is hiring people without the 1000pic, it changes the circumstances where it may be worth the $1500-2000 to someone to go get their ATP on their own.

"BUT" We all know an ATP is required! To each their own..............

Thanks for the replies..I am at a low paying regional and paying for car breakdown at $400 was a challange.. I had to borrow from my parents for the training for ATP.. I knew from beginning that the temptation wasn't right.. I will either try to get this before the application window closes or I will update my application.. Does anyone know if I will be able to update my application once the window closes?
Thanks..
Thanks..

Lying will always come back to bite you. The answer is simple, complete the application and when it asks if you have your ATP, check NO. Once you get it go back and update your info. This gets your app in during the window and you don't have to lie.

The younger generation does have to ask, because they grew up in a system where college and universities turn a blind eye to cheating (so long ad it's not obvious).... So why should we be surprised when they don't know the basics of the profession for which they hold a degree, and when they ask if it is ok to lie.
