Thanks for the free comedy, ladies n germs...
CallMeEd....I hear ya buddy. The enthusiasm, the drive, the dream, I hear ya...Reality??? Here it is: NOT ONE airline will hire you as a captain right off the bat. You have the experience to be hired as a First Officer at a Regional Airline. 300 hours a year? Better fuel that plane, and get that number to at least 50 hours a month to be competitive next to that guy/gal in the interview, and have IFR skills and decision making just as good (if you say your good) as you can operating on someone. Do you fly with a co-pilot now? NO? YES? Get one and learn about flows, checklists, and what CRM is ALL about....(gasp)... After all this, welcome to being a FO making $20.00/hour and pursuing the dream to becoming an Airline Captain...IF they hire you!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want some more free entertainment, read the "Public Opinion of Pilots" thread. You'll see some more gems from the good doctor.

Yeah, it's been more fun than reading Congressman Foley's IM's and email!

Thanks for the tip, Wild.

And welcome to the thread, Ladies. We haven't had this kind of entertainment since... well, since the famous posse thread.

I am still around although I plan to do more reading and less talking. I am off to San Francisco this Friday to meet a colleague and look forward to a nice visit. Hope this peace treaty will be accepted!

San Francisco? Let me guess. You're looking to join the Navy and fly with the Blue Angels this weekend? Do you think you've got what it takes to be a navy aviator? Better bring your scrubs to change into in case the Navy boys make you puke on yourself.

By the way, Ed, I would LOVE to give you your next Fight Review. Betcha a dollar if you fly with me (or darn near anyone else here) you will see you could use a Bit more training. After all, single engine missed approaches from 200 feet and V1 cuts are REAL fun.

All right Ed, I'm gonna call you out. PROVE to us that you are a pilot and have good (although misdirected) intentions.

What type of Citation do you own?
What's the serial number and engine type?
Where was it built and when was it delivered?
Where did you get your type rating training?
How often do you do recurrent training? Where?
What type of maintenance program do you have it on?
How do you track the maintenace that is due?
Where do you do maintenance?
What's the max zero fuel weight of the model you fly?
What's the service ceiling?
What's the cabin altitude max differential?
Tell me a bit about the FMS that the aircraft has- what type and what are some of it's capabilities?
Does the aircraft have an APU?
Does it have GPWS or TCAS?

Answer some of those questions and prove to us that you actually are who you say you are. Provide us with some evidence that you're just a misguided doctor with no understanding of the industry, and I'll personally help bring you up to speed and offer some advice.
