This move is pure politics. AA needs relief on their staffing rules due to pilot retirements. The two SFO APA reps are (rightfully) adamantly against this. WHy provide relief for a company that will not finish negotiating a contract to fix the 8 year old giveaway that saved the company? So the company is taking them out by slaughtering the domicile. No morals whatsoever.
They are paying hardball - nut check for the AA pilots. They finally have some leverage. |
