Not true. DL is the only code share on those flights.

Delta supposedly doesn't share revenue with Alaska either, but DL is dumping routes to AK left and right. Once a connection is made from one carrier to another, the two companies can split the price basically anyway they want, thus sharing revenue. On the flights with no connections, only one carrier gets those revenues but that can be made up on flights with connections. They share revenue one way or another.

This move is pure politics. AA needs relief on their staffing rules due to pilot retirements. The two SFO APA reps are (rightfully) adamantly against this. WHy provide relief for a company that will not finish negotiating a contract to fix the 8 year old giveaway that saved the company? So the company is taking them out by slaughtering the domicile. No morals whatsoever.

They are paying hardball - nut check for the AA pilots. They finally have some leverage.
