Boeing Capital had 25 B-717 parked in Arizona from Click Mexicana which ceased operation about a year ago.6 of them were ready to fly right the way. Those B-717's
are not available any more in Boeing's site, meaning somebody took them.
That reinforce my opinion that a company some where probably in Spain or somebody
else says in Riga is going to start.

Satellite, you're just going to have to be patient I'm afraid.

You can check the link below for information on the 717's. it usually has pretty good information.

Boeing 717 Production List - Planespotters.net Just Aviation

FYI, 1 of the 717 sims in ATL left for Europe earlier this year for Blue to use.

Last I heard was Hawaiian was picking up 3 of the ex-Mexicana airplanes, and that left 22 in the desert.

From their 10Q " Hawaiian also entered into three separate eight-year lease agreements in June 2011 for an additional three Boeing 717-200 aircraft, with expected delivery dates in the fourth quarter 2011 and first quarter of 2012 "

Also, it's kind of sad to think that when Hawaiian bought their 717's from BCC earlier this year, they were only valued at $9 million each.

The 22 B-717 that left behind in desert,I think is 25,they don't exist in the official site of BCC any more either for sale or lease, meaning what?
Is it what rumours say that a new company in Europe is gone start
operations shortly using those B-717's or what.

Why all the drama over these 717s?

A new startup = jobs? There arenīt many job openings in Spanish companies at the moment.

Just my guess

There were 25 in the desert, all from Midwest, then Mexicana. Last I heard 2 just went to MIA for MX prior to going to Hawaii. Another one is headed to Hawaii in 1st Q 2012, and that leaves 22 in the desert.

BTW, many of the engines off the one's in the desert have been grabbed by Rolls to do the turbine blade upgrades and keep the AirTran fleet running. Lots of missing engines on the 717's in the desert right now.

The company is called Volotea. They will operate out to smaller underserved cities in Spain. We will see how well that works out. Regional startups in Spain havenīt been very successful. Not to mention there are about 5 or 6 ghost airports in Spain (Ciudad Real, Huesca-Pirineos, Lleida-Alguaire, Castellon-Costa Azahar, Seu dīUrgell, and we will see what happens with the Murcia airport once the new one is constructed)

Volotea
not much to see there

The airlineīs founder is the founder of Vueling and the president will be Continentalīs former president, Greg Brenneman
