The state of Florida is widely known as "The Sunshine State" due to it's abundance of sunshine, which provides the right temperate climate for the Orange fruit to grow. Florida is well know domestically for it Orange exports.

Casey Anthony is from Florida, and a large portion of the American public believe her to be guilty, even though she was acquitted of all charges in open court.

Personally, I don't think any of this is coincidence and Southwest cannot deny their involvement in allowing Casey Anthony to walk free.
I bet she eats oranges,...you've never seen her with a kitten either, have you?!!! I haven't!

Nope. In fact we've had virtually no early retirements.

It's an airplane....whether it's a 737, an MD88, a 787, or an airbus...they all pretty much fly the same at the end of the day. Some have more comfy cockpits than others (a 737 is positively cavernous compared to what I came out of, so I guess it's all relative.) I know some guys are all about collecting type ratings and love spending half their career at the training center. As for me, after finishing upgrade here, I thought if I never add another type to my cert again, it would be just fine. The Max will be here in a few years. When I retire, I will have flown all four generations of the 737 to many destinations outside of TX and the Lower 48....that's enough variety for this kid. YMMV

Seriously, who gives a SH-T, an airplane is an airplane and an airport is an airport. I highly doubt anyone at SWA wishes they could experience the thrill of melting batteries at FL390 on the 787 over the middle of the Atlantic......

W2s and time off > A/C types and far away airports.....

Gotta agree with this big time.

Flying variety is cool and all, but pay/time off/QOL trumps layover destinations any day.

That said, there is no reason a legacy couldn't/shouldn't have equal or greater pay/QOL for like flying than a LCC...even if its a HCC in disguise.

I've flown lots of stuff, from the J3 I started in, to the 777 I fly now, and most of the stuff in between. I've always felt that my 'airline flying' was just a way to pay for my Fun Flying.

I would much rather spend a day flying a Pitts, or a Cub, or an Air Cam on floats, down low and slow, than doing my "Day Job". Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to quit anytime soon, I still enjoy my job and it pays the bills, but when it comes to "Flying", well, airline flying is Job flying, while little airplane flying is FUN Flying!

If you guys are getting burnt out with your day job, I suggest you get into a light airplane and go have some FUN. You'll remember why you wanted to fly in the first place.

Just saw a bunch of WN employees picketing on the curb about an hour ago at PHX, holding signs that say "Bags Fly Free Because of Me". Maybe they hate Southwest, too.

I've flown a good number of airplanes doing a good number of different things with them.

An airplane is an airplane and an airport is an airport couldn't be farther from the truth. It can mean the difference between hating and loving your job.
