Default AA Flt Attendant Behind Parody Videos Fired

I don't know, I thought his website is funny and illuminating.

From NBC:

An American Airlines flight attendant from South Florida whose YouTube videos poked fun at his airline bosses said Thursday he plans on fighting his termination, NBC Miami reports.
Gailen David, a 24-year veteran of American Airlines who was based in Miami, appeared in drag as the "Aluminum Lady" in the series of videos that took aim at the airline's financial difficulties. The popular videos have received tens of thousands of views.
David also runs a website, dearskysteward.com, where the videos along with articles about American Airlines gossip and airplane etiquette are posted.

Too bad. What AA didnt realize is that with his talents and some detailed direction, he had a LOT of potential to do GOOD for the company.

What he needed was clearly defined parameters and instruction that would have allowed his creative side to flourish in a positive way. Heck they could have molded his character to poke fun a everything AA doesn't want to be from a customers point of view.

Now AA has a tech savvy ****ed off former employee who has a viral following. I guarantee he'll do more damage/be a bigger pain now.

Very true, BUT he really didn't think he could continually poke his airline AND specific superiors in the eye and last very long, did he?

No kidding, I mean what do you expect if you post multiple videos of yourself in drag bad mouthing your employer?

Common sense tells you it's a bad idea if you wish to remain employed with the company, but I think he had enough and was asking to get fired.

I don't disagree, but His supervisors could have been proactive well before it got to this level... Either that or he should have been fired well before it got so out of hand.

Normally, one does not make fun of your bosses and put videos of it on You Tube without some sort of retribution.

I am pretty sure that he will get his job back, with back pay. It is the American way.
