Remember gentlemen, when the gov tells you what you can buy and sell and for how much, the very first thing to be bought and sold is the gov.
Can we agree that our current government has been bought?

Is this a trick question?

I am not sure why you even feel the need to ask that question, sources such as open secrets and many others have documented all major contributors for a long time.

The real question is why some of us think voting matters, if it did they would have made it illegal a long time ago.

Status quo, new boss, same as the old boss; and the theft just keeps on coming. Not sure why anyone has any questions at all, except for the rate of theft, and the rate has gone exponential.

We always get our gov the old fashioned way, we buy it. And they sell it.

Can we agree on that?

Mike,
Thanks. As I qualified at the beginning of my earlier post, I didn't expect to change any person's views. I guess I just had to indulge myself with a modern version of the soap box in the public square.
I probably shouldn't have referenced Mother Jones magazine. The article was put out as illustrative, not as basis of philosophical thought.
With that, good luck to yourself (and us all...Jungle as well) in this business we have very little control over. I try to enjoy the good aspects and keep the rest in perspective.

No hard feelings, I think you stated your position with a feeling that many of us have, but most of us find it difficult to articulate and difficult to explain. There are many factors at work here and it is easy to lash out in the wrong direction.

The approval rate for a certain body hovers at around 13%, we all understand at a gut level that the only thing they can sell already belongs to us. I am sure we can all agree on that, and best of luck to you all and MaxQ in particular. We are going to need it because history has shown a very strong trend against us no matter which side of the saw you fancy pulling.
