Default Can the TA be withdrawn?

Someone posted on one of the various threads that the best thing that could happen at this point is for ALPA to withdraw the TA and tighten up the language (at the least) before it gets voted upon.

Is this even possible or is it just like my son, hoping for a "do over" where he gets to be the oldest.

Its a TENTATIVE agreement.
DALPA can go back to management and ask for changes any time they want.

Its not a contract until Lee Moak signs it.
Legally, they can re-negotiate right up to the moment he signs it.
Little known fact --> Even if the Delta MEC and pilots ratify it, Moak can refuse to sign it.

Back in 2002 the Mesa pilots at CCAir negotiated and ratified a concessionary contract. Duane Woerth refused to sign it. Said it was way too concessionary. Mesa mangement and the CCAir pilots even sued Woerth and ALPA. ALPA won. CCAir went out of business.

I'd say re-negotiating is highly unlikely in our case though.
The only way we're going to get any changes at this point is by voting it down.

Thanks Check.

I don't think the MEC admin would let the NC go back and tweek anything. Otherwise how could they continue to "strongly urge us to vote yes".

Dragon,

The NC works for the reps. If the reps wanted it, they would have to do it. The Master Chairman is a defacto member of the NC as well.

If the reps wanted is the key phrase.

Yes, but if its sent back, these guys have to follow the overall will of the pilots.

Time will tell what direction we take.
