Well I don't think that really matters. It's still negotiations. I'm pretty sure you can't just call bs on them. Once they put it put there, it has to be negotiated down.

Really? Any proposal put forth in negotiations must be regarded as something to be "negotiated down" by the other party?

Then why didn't we just put 300% raises and 12 weeks of vacation on the table, and make the company "negotiate" those "down?"

Yes, because increasing scope from 76 seats to 80/82 seats and a 300% raise are so similar.

No it doesn't. If that were true, why not open with outsourced 300 seaters and below? Gee, what are we willing to give up to keep everything else?

Yeah right.

Ok gloopy. Everyone else is wrong. You're right. Go out and get things done. Clearly it's an extremely simple process, and you know how to get things done. Go gloopy. Save us!

So 82 is reasonable but 300 isn't? BTW, 82 is really a 100 seater (E190) with first class and EC sections). SO they really put 100 seaters "on the table."

So why not 120? 150? 199? All are unreasonable examples its only a matter of degree. But all are trash offers designed to see if we are dumb enough to kick things off by negotiating with ourselves. We can play that same game with them too by the way, so they hold no advantage.

Like I said, go get it done. It's obvious everyone else is just "doing it wrong" so go show them how to do it right.

Your sarcasm has convinced me. Because they opened with 100 seaters (82 installed) that means they were a done deal unless we gave up something in negotiations to keep them away. I hereby praise the NC for keeping those jets away and since that was the opener, more 90 seaters (76 installed) is a win.

Go show them how to do it right. It's clear you have all the answers. Go do it. I'm all for it, I really am. If you have the answer, go get it done. Up to this point, no one else has figured out how to.

They say they want 82 seaters, we say no, then counter with 70 seaters only (same seat difference) and stare at them like the bluffers they are until its time for lunch.

Sounds good. Let me know when your name is on the NC ballot next time around.
