Call it constructive engagement or whatever you want but this cozy relationship with management has gone waaaaaaay too far. There is no way what has been proposed is anywhere near what C2012 should be.

This was the most apparent theme to me as I was reading the TA. +1 here -1 there. The speed of "negotiations" just leaves me feeling used and abused.

If there was POS96 and C2K, I guess TA 2012 can be CN12 for Cost Neutral 2012?

Or something else more catchy, and don't use POS, that's already been used.

How about WIN-2012?

Woefully Inadequate Negotiations :D:D

Bus, if you flow under this TA you'll be going from your current $72/hr as an EMB-175 RJ Captain to $66/hr year 1 pay. Maybe you ought to stay where you're at...:p

Oh, forgot to tell you that your year 2 pay as a B717 copilot would be $93.77...and it goes way up from there.

Of course you can keep arguing against this TA and help protect the rest of your RJ buds you leave behind...there's just not as many RJ jobs with 450 airplanes envisioned in the TA as there are with the current 634 that you guys are actually flying. I know, you've got your flow and all, so it doesn't really matter to you, you're protected either way.

Good luck with the decision.:D

Big surprise....an ALPA/MANAGMENT guy getting the carrot (as small as it may be) right out in front so you lose track of everything else (that no good detail stuff). Never seen that before.

Sure slow...that's why I'm arguing against outsourcing 70 extra jumbo-RJs, to protect my RJ buds, that's right....

You know what, I hope Delta gets the 717s. Good airplanes, had some experience with them a number of years ago, and always thought nwa should have ordered them as a DC9 replacement before Boeing closed the line. You know what else? $66 first year pay is decent compared to many places, and would make the transition over to DL easier. My own immediate personal interest is probably for this thing to pass. I just think it would be bad for my profession and continue a very negative trend line over the last 7 or 8 years of more and more mainline-sized airplanes being outsourced. Even if that doesn't affect me right now, it will down the road. Thus my arguments against the TA.

Glad for your concern :).

How is giving 70 more large RJs a base hit or in any way loading the bases. The more correct analogy is the NC just watched three heaters right down the pooper and sat down without even taking the bat of their shoulder. Coming back to the dugout they are mumbling "I tried my best."

You have to swing the bat for an opportunity to put runs on the board. I'm afraid too many guys like yourself are afraid to take a real hack. You want to settle for a plate appearance. It's the top of the 1st of the Sec. 6 series and we are being talked into conceding by our opposition. Our coach is telling us that this is the best we can do. Really?!?, give up in the top of the first? Say it ain't so DALPA?

I think we have a very real opportunity at putting an end to the regionals as we know them over the next 10 years. Giving them more large RJs is not going to do it. At a minimum, holding the line will put us on that path. Holding the line is just a walk. Rolling back big RJ scope (<255) would be a base hit. I personally think we are capable of much more. We owe it to ourselves and this industry to fight for jobs at the majors not the minors. Give more kids the opportunity to play in the BIGS.

DAWGS for president....

Although it sounds like WN, and it's far from SWA.

I have one I definitely cannot do.

634? 603 was April, probably a few lower now, without a swap.

But beyond that, JungleBus is a 76 seat driver. That 76-seat fleet is growing by 45% under this TA.

I'm glad he's flowing though, because he can flow we can flow down. That's a good furlough protection.

Who negotiated that? :D
